I know you procrastinate but hey, I understand! Procrastinating is something everyone falls victim to once in a while (more often than we’d like to admit), especially when temptations like Netflix exist. However, the pressure of waiting until last minute can drive you to write some of the best essays and can actually be helpful on certain occasions. While I don’t encourage procrastination if you are one of those who wait until the night something’s due then check out this list of scholarships: you have a whole week, and some of them take minutes!

AlgaeCal Health Scholarship– June 30

Must be enrolled in school for the Fall 2017 semester. Must write an essay answering the question: “If you could, what changes to programs, policies, education, etc. would you implement for the general health/well-being of the average modern person?” Minimum 3.0 GPA. One award for $1,000.


AfterCollege Succurro Scholarship– June 30

Create or update your AfterCollege profile, which will automatically enter you to win. Open to currently enrolled students. One award for $500.


Blue Mountain Arts Poetry Card Contest– June 30

Write any kind of poem that express your emotions. Enter as many poems as you’d like! Three (3) awards: $350, $200, and $100.


Breast Cancer Awareness: Share Your Story With Homekitchenary– June 30

For high schools seniors living with a parent who is fighting breast cancer, is a survivor, or has lost a parent to breast cancer. Requires an essay of 800 words minimum. Two (2) awards for $1,000 each.


CollegeSTEPS Sweepstakes– June 30

Sign up for Wells Fargo’s CollegeSTEPS program to be automatically entered to win. Must be at least 14 years old to enter. Six (6) high school students and six (6) college students will be picked to win $5,000 each.


Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship– June 30

High school, undergraduate, and graduate students eligible. Must write a short essay  of 500 words or less based on two options given on the website. One award for $1,000.


Digital Privacy Scholarship– June 30

High school, undergraduate, and graduate students eligible. Must write a 140-character statement about digital privacy. 10 finalists will be picked who then have to write a full essay about digital privacy. One award for $1,000.


Do-Over Scholarship– June 30

Must be 13 years old or older and enrolled in college. Write a short 250-word response answering the question: “If you could get one ‘do-over’ in life, what would it be and why?” One award for $1,500.


Lift Parts Express Scholarship– June 30

Must be between 16-21 years old and attending school in the fall of 2017. Essay required. One award for $500.


Inverters R Us Power Scholarship– June 30

Write an essay answering the question: “How are DC to AC power inverters used int he world today?” Two (2) awards for $1,000 each. Must be U.S. citizen or resident.


OppU Achievers Scholarship– June 30

Must be enrolled in a higher education institution with a GPA of at least 3.0. Must be a U.S. citizen. Requires an essay answering the question: “Explain why financial literacy should be important to college students like yourself.”


“Review It” Scholarship– June 30

Must be attending college and have a GPA or 2.5 or higher. Must write a movie review over your favorite movie in under 1,000 words. One $1,000 scholarship.


10 Words or Less Scholarship– June 30

Go to the Facebook page and like it. Place a comment on the first post (“New scholarship deadline for the 10 words or less scholarship) saying why you deserve the scholarship in 10 words or less. One award for $500.


Do Something Scholarships:


Upload a photo of 5 aluminum cans you’ve recycled. One award for $1,500.

Make a 5-minute long shower playlist and share wit friends. One award for $1,000.

Make a card encouraging your dad to get his blood pressure checked. One award for $1,000.
